Frequently asked questions

Everything you might want to know about Chadwick's Revenge — the free online baseball and softball scorekeeper.

Is Chadwick's Revenge free?

Yes. Chadwick's Revenge is completely free to use, with no account, subscription, or paywall. Open it in any browser and start scoring.

Does it work for softball?

Yes. Softball is a built-in game type. Choose it when you create a game and the app configures the innings and rules for softball, then scores fastpitch or slowpitch the same way it scores baseball. See the softball scorekeeper.

Can I use it on a tablet?

Yes. The interface is tablet-first, with large touch targets and a layout tuned for scoring from the stands. It also works well on phones and laptops in any modern browser.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Chadwick's Revenge is a Progressive Web App. Once it has loaded, it keeps working without an internet connection, and your game is saved on your device so you never lose an at-bat to a dead spot at the field.

Can I print the scorecard?

Yes. From the menu you can print your scorecard directly, or download it as a PDF to save and share. The printout uses a clean, high-contrast layout designed for paper. Learn more on the printable scorecard page.

Does it track pitches and box scores?

Yes. You can record every pitch to build counts and pitch totals, and the app automatically derives batting, pitching, and fielding statistics along with a complete box score and line score.

Do I need to install anything?

No. It runs entirely in your web browser — nothing to download or install. If you like, you can add it to your home screen for one-tap access, but that's optional.

New to scorekeeping?

If the symbols on a scorecard look like a foreign language, start here — then let the app do the writing for you.

Still have a question?

The best way to get a feel for Chadwick's Revenge is to open it and score a few plays — it's free and works right in your browser.
